The 100 MW Imereti-1 WPP project is being implemented by the INFINITE ENERGY LLC, which is a Specific Purpose Entity (SPE) jointly owned by Austrian IVICOM HOLDING GMBH and Georgian IBERIA CAPITAL LIMITED. Imereti Wind Farm is located in the region of Georgia situated along the middle and upper reaches of the Rioni River. The terrain is hilly, ranging from low to moderate complexity. Wind turbines are located on two plateaus whose altitude varies between 940 and 1140 meters above sea level. Concerning land cover, within the project area the ground cover consists of low vegetation. In the surroundings, there is some forestry but it is mostly located along the terrain slopes. The nearby settlements are all located at lower elevations.
At first stage, Imereti Wind Farm will comprise of up to 16 wind turbine units, divided to two sites, with a total installed capacity of about 100 MW depending on the turbine model used. No limitation to injected power or any other curtailment has been identified.
